Why not But in this case, the letter writer's name will be Fuddles?

a.
Is your sentence a implied conditional?
Do you mean But in this case, the letter writer's name would be Fuddles (if I knew the answer)?

b.
Or do you mean But in this case, perhaps the letter writer's name is Fuddles?

Does 'would' here mean 'used for saying or asking what someone thinks about a possible situation', whereas 'will' mean 'used for showing that you are fairly certain that something is true'?

I think the 'Yes' refers to the following question:

Does 'would' here mean 'used for saying or asking what someone thinks about a possible situation', whereas 'will' mean 'used for showing that you are fairly certain that something is true'?

I think the 'Yes' refers to the following question:

If you don't mind, could you please help me?

But in this case, the letter writer's name would be Fuddles.

The letter writer's name would be Fuddles if it were used in a letter.

Could you please check my sentences? I am grateful for your help. :)

Would
used for saying or asking what someone thinks about a possible situation

You wouldn’t recognize the place now (if you saw the place)– it’s changed so much.
It would be fun to have a beach party (if we had a party at beach).
It’s no use talking to Henry – he wouldn’t understand (if you talked to him).
Why would anyone want to kill Jerry? (if someone wanted to kill Jerry.)
Where would he have hidden the keys? (if he hid the keys.)
I could lend you some – would fifty pounds be enough? (if I lent you fifty pounds.)
