The second needs to say "it" can help fight.

Both sentences need more punctuation.

"Dark green vegetable, such as cabbage and spinach; and oily fish, like salmon,"

This sentence may be one of those places where "fishes" is the appropriate plural.

The whole thing would be much more natural if you started with "Regularly eating ...".

Regularly eating dark green vegetables like cabbage and spinach, and oily fish like salmon, can help fight depression.

I think the above sentence is not complete without a subject (it) for the second clause.

Shouldn't the subject be 'they' instead of 'it'?
