Please, two fighters are very good at work in a final scene of a movie. Who wins? A conundrum for the helmer. And he says: "The only way to settle the dispute was to have them call it even and wound each other in a draw."

Please, meaning for Call it even" and "in a draw", and for the whole meaning of the sentence.

The only way to resolve this stalemate is to say that each is as good as the other and the conflict resulted in a draw ["draw" = a situation in which each team in a game has equal points and neither side wins].
