[Grammar] Can “ for/to” be used in combination with “by”?

This PC has a power-saving mode that reduces power consumption by automatically stopping unused applications.

I think the above sentence I created is grammatically correct, but am not sure whether the following sentences are grammatically correct.


  1. This PC has a power-saving mode for reducing power consumption by automatically stopping unused applications.
  2. This PC has a power-saving mode to reduce power consumption by automatically stopping unused applications.

Specifically, I would like to know using "for/to" in combination with "by" in the way described above is correct.
