Is there any difference in meaning between these two sentences?

1- Can any boys solve this problem?

1- Can any boy solve this problem?

If I want to ask a group of boys in school, what sentence should I use?

If there are only boys in the group you're addressing, you just say "Can anyone solve this problem?"
If you're talking to a mixed group but you only want the boys to try answering, say "Can any of the boys solve this problem?"
