1) Ours is a developing country, and that means that we cannot afford to carry out equally rigid environmental measures as developed countries like Japan or Germany.

2) However, that should not serve as an excuse for us not to care about nature. Because the environmental problems are already so serious that we cannot stand idlely by without taking any effective actions.

3) In fact, we've already seen some positive examples that people turn garbage into useful material, which could be used for economic growth.

Thanks a lot!

Except for one misspelled word (idly), it looks fine to me.

Hi! :hi:

Your English looks pretty good to me.

(Say I registered today instead of I have registered today.)

Thanks, Ron. It is very nice of you, as usual. :)

liweigong, why not register with your odd yet impressive English name--Famous? Anyway, I am very glad seeing you here. Feel free to post, no matter what it is about. Why not share some of your ideas here with all of us? I am back at my hometown, where I have this poor yet much more expensive 3KBps Internet access.

Thank you! I'm really happy to hear this, but in fact my English(especially written English) is much worse than Joe. :(
Hey Joe. I intended to use my odd name, but finally I felt myself like a idiot to use that name. Can I have your QQ? So I can know whether you are on line or not. Mine is 11880927. Would you like to start some discussion about politics recently? I'm eager to join that kind of topics, but I can't think out any topic myself. And if you do, I suggest not to talk about things relate to realistic problem too much. It is always more convient to discuss things unrealistic.

Oh, no topic on politics. At least I do not intend to do that. Some people have obviously been bothered by that. And even if I did, I would not like to talk about "unrealistic" issues because what is bothering me is "realistic" than most.

Try:
  • Thank you! I'm really happy to hear that, but in fact my English(especially written English) is not nearly as good as Joe's. Hey Joe! I intended to use my own name, but finally I felt like I would be an idiot to use that name. Can I have your QQ? So I can know whether you are on line or not. Mine is 11880927. Would you like to start a discussion about politics soon? I'm eager to join that kind of discussion, but I can't think out any topic myself. And if you do, I suggest not talking about things related to realistic problems too much. It is always more convenient to discuss unrealistic things.

What do you think? :)

(If you say your English is much worse than Joe's that suggests that Joe's is bad. Also, recently is always about the past.)

:)
