We can learn from this that history does not predict the future. Please can we say "We can know from this that history does not predict the future"?

Source and author, please.

I came across this problem from someone's homework of comprehension :
From the passage we can know that a restroom is _________.
A. a place to rest B. a public bathroom C. a place to have a bath D. an airport service center

I just suspect that in this problem "can learn" should have been used instead of "can know". Am I right or wrong? Or both phrases are all right?

I don't find "can know" or "can learn" natural. I wouldn't use "can" at all. I'd say "From the passage, we know that a restroom is ...". If I had to use "can", I'd follow it with something like "assert" or "say with confidence".
