[General] Can somebody help me correct these sentences?

1) If you fail to pay the money within or after the specified period of time, you will need to pay for a penalty.
2) He specified that he will pay the money on this saturday.
3) Please specify when you will make the payment.

I take this to mean you can pay at any time and avoid a penalty. However It sounds like you have to buy a penalty, so I would say:

1) If you fail to pay the money within or after the specified period of time, you will need to a penalty fee.

"pay a", not "pay for a"
