Hi,

I can guess the meaning from the context of this sentence but I wish to know what exactly does this phrasal verb mean.

"If you don't make an effort to know what your customers think, you can be caught off with balance when they go elsewhere.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I don't know what 'catch off with balance' means.
However:

catch off balance = suprised / confused

catch off = It means
to encounter something unexpected and be unprepared for it.

But I don't know if "with balance" is wrong or if it has a (special) meaning.

Regards
Snowcake
