Hm... to name a few
"To + Particle" can be used as a subject, object or complement of an object.
As a complement of an object
For example, The police asked me to show my identity card for examination.
As either an adverb of reason or purpose
For example,
Adverb of reason:Be careful not to catch a cold=>Be carful, because if not you would catch a cold.
Adverb of purpose:He came (in order) to help me with my English.
(Not a teacher);-)
