The term you are looking for is infanticide, and it applies to both males and females. There are several words that use the -cide suffix. Examples:

• homocide = killing a human being
  suicide = killing one's self
  fratricide = killing one's brother
  genocide = killing a race, or species

Those are, I am fairly certain, the most commonly used of those terms.
