I can't figure out what is the sentence about. There is no any other context; it's an example sentence from the grammar book. Is it a card game?

Yes, it's about a deck of cards. It could be about a card game or a card trick, etc.

one of your cards = one of the cards you have in your hand

the one that has been turned over = the card that got picked (from the deck) and is face up.
