I don't understand the following lyrics in the song "Teardrops on my guitar":

Drew looks at me
I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing
Everything that we should be

What does "Drew" mean in this context? Is it a collocation "to draw a look at somebody"? Then why Google gives only one result for "she drew looks at" and no results for "she drew a look at"? So it must be a man's name. Is there a man's name "Drew"?:?::-?

It's often a shortened form of Andrew.

Yes, I believe it's quite common in Australia. There was certainly a character called Drew in the long-running Australian soap opera "Neighbours".
