Why are sometimes letters capitalized that do not stand at the beginning of a word?
Examples: LaGuardia Airport, LeBron James

Some non-English personal and place names contain upper-case letters inherited from their native languages. For example, McDonald, LaGuardia, LaFayette, HaNikra, etc. The second upper-case letter indicates that the name was formed by joining two words together. Some invented names like LeBron include an upper-case letter because the people who invented them thought they looked better that way.

Trade names sometimes include an upper-case letter for the same reason as invented personal names do.
