I was taught that 'recently' doesn't go with the simple present tense, the present progressive tense or any future tenses.
But I just read a book about American street English and came across this sentence:
Jibbing is catching on recently all around the world.
Does this sentence sound all right to native English speakers?
Thank you very much.
