I wonder if tense of "am catching" is future or present Progressive.
I think I am catching a cold.

Present, referring - as the continuous often does - to an expected future condition. (Of course, the speaker already has the condition, so it could be said not to be future at all. But s/he is suggesting 'I will soon be ill, so be gentle/don't expect too much of me/behave sympathetically now'.
