What is the difference between the two sentences below? Which one do native speakers say?

1. If you're looking for adventure and want to travel around the world cheaply, backpacking is a good choice.
2. If you're looking for adventure and want to travel around the world without spending too much money, backpacking is a good choice.

There's no difference. You'll hear both.

You'll also hear things like on a budget/on a tight budget. We have many ways of saying this.

Also, you don't need to say money in #2.
