What do you mean by "go astray from their work"? That they are distracted at work and do other things? The sentence as it stands does not make sense, so explain what you meant and have another try.

Notes:

1) The word "I" must always be capitalised.
2) We put a space after a comma.
3) Only one full stop is required at the end of a sentence.
4) "People" is plural so it would be "go", not "goes".

True, although I guess you can say "I've seen it so many times - some people working really hard all day while others are playing on the internet and going for regular coffee breaks".

The "some people" could refer to people in an individual office environment, but the writer could have visited a lot of offices and seen the same thing many times.
