Are both of these forms correct? I think I have seen both of them.
1. I was choking with tears.
2. I was choked with tears.

Both are correct -- they are just different tenses.

I'm confused.
I was choking with tears is past continuous and I was choked with tears is simple past passive.
And do you mean the passive form mean maybe someone / something else made me feel choking with tears?
