1- In some countries, children ................ wear school uniform.
a) don't need to b) needn't

I think there is no difference between 'a' and' b'.Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

Hi nado92,

1. To give permission not to do something, we can use “do not need” or “needn’t” indistinctly.

2. On the other hand, when we talk about a general necessity, obligation or convenience, we prefer “do not need” .

Regards,

Both a) and b) are correct.
