Clarify the size of pipe as over a length

I would be grateful if someone could help to comment my phrase.

I would like to say " please clarify that the total length of the pipeline is over 40-50 meters, whether 10cm of pipe diameter is a appropoate design for the water system."

then change the sentence in phrase "10cm of pipe diameter used for the water system to be clarified as the pipeline length over 40-50 meters"

if it´s you trying to make your sentence nmore easy to understand, then you should say: "please make it clear that the total length of the pipeline is above 40-50 meters, and if 10 cm of pipe diameter is the appropriate design for the water system."

Is the pipe length between 40–50 meters acceptable? If so, what does ‘over’ do in ‘over 40-50 meters’? If you mean you would accept the length if it falls within the range, ‘over’ doesn’t mean much here?

I would say ‘… 10cm DIA (for diameter) pipe …’ or ‘… 10cm Ø (std. drafting symbol for diameter) pipe …’ I prefer to see ‘… pipe diameter of 10cm (nom., I.D.(for Inside Diameter) or O.D.(for Outside Diameter)) is an appropriate size for the design of the water system.’
