I would opt for "The prices of the packages are affordable ...." because prices (plural) agrees with are (plural). ;-)

It is actually the package that is affordable. I would say, "At those prices, the packages are affordable. If the packages were priced the same, one might say, "At that price, the packages are affordable."

It is actually the package that is affordable. I would say, "At those prices, the packages are affordable. If the packages were priced the same, one might say, "At that price, the packages are affordable."

I think the first one is not right. Because, Verb " Be" depends on the word "price", so in this first one, price is singular leading to verb "Be" is singular.

So I think, if the price for all the packages is the same, I should say
the price of the packages is affordable...
If the prices for all packages are different, I should say
the prices ........... are affordable.

Do you agree with me?

Again, it is a detail, but people are not buying proces, they are buying goods. I would say, "The package is affordable." :wink:
