Hi there,
What is the difference between 'come' and 'go'?

1. Come over here.
2. Go there.

But is it correct to say it like this?
Can I use 'go' in the following sentence?

1. I will come to your place tonight because I will be having a meeting.

Thanks
pete

Although they mean the opposite, they are often interchangeable. In your example, if the person is not in their house, then it makes little difference to me whether you use 'come' or 'go'.

Hi there,
Thanks a lot.

If it is a piece of email, 'I will come to your place tonight because I will be having a meeting.' and I don't know where she will check this message at her home's computer or office's computer, then what should I use? 'come' or 'go'??
Thanks
pete

It honestly doesn't matter much. I would probably use 'come', though, there. ;-)
