Where a problemis ignored at an early stage in the hope it will go away comes back to haunt us, it comes home to roost.;-)

Yes, I knew the meaning. Does it come from birds going back to their nest or something ?

For explaining the meaning instead of the origins of the expression I guess. No need to feel sorry! I should have included the definition, if only for the other readers (and maybe I had it wrong, for all I know).
Thanks for your help all!

What is "for all I know" here?

It more or less means "as far as I know", with a slight difference in use if I'm correct. I could have said "come to that" instead.

From The American Heritage Dictionary of Idioms, the full expression is "chickens come home to roost". It came from Robert Southey's writing, "Curses are like young chickens, they always come home to roost"
