He came looking for you. - Two actions (coming and looking for you) were simultaneous.


I think two actions seem highly unlikely, what does the next sentence mean?
Two actions (coming and looking for you) were simultaneous.

You seem obsessed with this question. Between here and English Forums, I bet there are six questions about this.

He came here with the purpose of looking for you and was likely looking along the way.

Maybe wowenglish1's problem is that he or she does not understand that come looking for is an idiom. It has nothing to do with simultaneous actions. He came looking for you is often menacing. It could well mean he was hoping to find you in order to hurt you. Or it could simply mean that he came hoping to find you for some other reason. But it is an idiom, at least in AmE.
