Which is correct:

1-I talked to Pete yesterday, who says "hello".

2-I talked to Pete yesterday who says "hello".

Since the clause is non-restrictive, one might argue that the comma is needed. But the clause comes after an adverb, so I don't know whether to use the comma or not.

Gratefully,
Navi.

We wouldn't say that. We'd say, "I talked to Pete yesterday; he says hello (or "hello")"
