Hi,

Can you change the following sentences?............If it is not , kindly suggest ways to make it clearer.

what words can be replaced with these bold word"compared to-focusing on"?

sentences:

1.the Wells turbine has inherent disadvantages; lower efficiency, poorer starting characteristics, and a higher axial force compared to tangential force.

2.There are several reports, which give information on the performance of the Wells turbine focusing on both the starting and running characteristics.

thanks,

best,

Ali

Both sentences seem clear and correct to me. There is no need to change them, apart from the lazy incorrect punctuation and capitalization.

There is more incorrect capitalisation and punctuation in post #3.

- End every sentence with a single, appropriate punctuation mark.
- Always capitalise the word "I".
- Do not put a space before a comma, full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.
