Can you expalin to me the difference between comparisms..
slow, slower, slowest
and comparisms of adverbs..
slowly, more slowly,
If the second are adverbs, what are the first then? Or are the second in fact adverbs of manner?? I'm quite confused about this.

The words slow, slower, slowest can be both adjectives and adverbs. Using it as an adjective, we might say that John was slower than Bill. Using it as an adverb, we might say that John moved slower than Bill.
