Hi,
Can anything consist of just one thing? All dictionary examples suggest that to consist of something means to consist of at least two things. For instance (from Merriam-Webster),
Can I say, for instance, that Breakfast consisted of milk only? I know there are much better ways to convey this particular message, but I'd like to know whether something can consist of one thing.
Thanks,
nyggus

- Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, and orange juice.
- Coal consists mostly of carbon.
- His wardrobe consists almost entirely of jeans and T-shirts.
- The crowd consisted mainly/largely of teenage girls.
