what you understand by 'we turn on ideas for your identity' ?

I have no idea.

We turn on - can mean (maybe) that that's what keeps us going or
We turn on - can mean (maybe) that we can activate something that exists. You turn on the TV, turn on the lamp, etc.

"Ideas for your identity" sounds like you are running from the police and need to create a new identify for yourself.

Maybe it means you don't understand who you are and you need help figuring it out.

Together, it's meaningless.

What is it supposed to mean? Can you say this another way?
