Correct choice of verbs in the sentences

By the time I sit for the exams next week, I will/would have completed all the exercises in the book.

By this time next week, we will have taken/would have taken our exams and will be celebrating at the class party.

I believe in each of the sentences the first choice is correct. Am I right?
