Hi,

could you please tell me which verb to use in the following sentence:

The contractor undertakes to build/set up/install/create/??? a garden pond for the client.

And which verb would you use in case of modifications or reconstruction of an existing garden pond?

Thanks a lot!

If this is one of those garden ponds that you buy pre-formed, then the contractor will be installing it (digging a hole for it and connecting a water supply). If he's pouring concrete to make the pool in a hole he has dug, then 'construct'

And if the customer already has the hole for the garden pond and needs to complete it (e.g. install the pond liner, add pebbles, install pumps and filters, plant water flowers etc.)?
