Hi there, :D

Merry christmas to you all

i have a couple of questions to ask you.

“ I think I saw wearing of hijab long before the early 1970s. I’m not sure, and the creditability of this article is in doubt to me. ”

Could anyone correct my grammar in both sentences above?

And

Do you have alternative way to say like both sentences above in the same meaning but as a native speaker?

Namely, If you were me, how would you say if you are not sure the creditability of one article as a native speaker?

thanx in advance

“ I think I saw wearing of hijab long before the early 1970s. I’m not sure, and the creditability of this article is in doubt to me. ”

These sentences don't seem very connected, because the article referred to in the second doesn't fit with the first sentence. They could make sense in a larger context, though. In the second, you should say 'credibility'.

I think I saw hijab worn long before the early 1970s. I am not sure and I doubt the article's credibility. ;-)

As Tdol noted, the sentences lack connectedness. If there was more context it would probably be easier to understand what the writer is trying to say. However, the second sentence does not logically follow the first one in any case.

  • I think I saw the hijab being worn long before the early 1970s. I’m not sure, and the creditability of this article is in doubt to me.

The writer seems to be saying that what he is unsure of is his own statement. That doesn't seem very likely, however. It is not easy to figure out what the writer is unsure of. Perhaps:
  • I think I saw the hijab being worn long before the early 1970s. I believe the statements in the article are inaccurate.

What do you think?

:)
