this poem is very meaningful. But I dont know how to translate into English. I have tried to translate word by word here with hope that someone can help me to edit. Thank you all!

A man who looks for love

I go to everywhere to look for my half
But I haven't found her yet until now
Oh my love? Who are you?
Why do you let me find, always find your name?

Evening has set in gradually, city has come in dark.
Couples are happy on grass ground and along trees
Are they luckier than me? or don't they know their half or others' half?

I go to everywhere to look for my half
And maybe I couldn’t find it all my life
So I would live alone if you are not in life.
I wouldn't take others' half to be my half

There are hundreds and thousands of something similar to love
But there is only one real love
Therefore sometimes I thought I have met my half but they were not my half at all.

If you are not my half, and we don't belong to each other,
Oh my god, please don’t let me think wrongly
Because I know that despite misery or happiness,
It is clearly right or wrong in the heart of my half

I go to look for you,- darling, yes I have been looking for you
And maybe you are not in life at all
You also look for me, look for me like that
Just one thing that we haven't recognized each other

Could you tell us where you found this poem? Is it your translation from Vietnamese?

It is very difficult to "translate a poem" from one language to another. I have tried it myself a long time ago with a Russian poem. I am told that I came pretty close in the translation but that is all.

A word for word translation often misses the emotion, imagery and message that the original poet intended in his/her poem.

The best that we can do is take your translation and rework it into a better poem. Is this what you wish?

Here is my attempt at the first verse

A man who looks for love

I go to everywhere to look for my half
But I haven't found her yet until now
Oh my love? Who are you?
Why do you let me find, always find your name?

Looking for Love

Searching for my soulmate,
But I haven't found her yet.
Oh my love? Who are you?
Why don't you reveal your name?

The last line in your translation is a bit confusing. I think it should be a negative question. Otherwise, his search would be over since he would know who she is.

If this is what you are looking for we can continue.

Lynxear, thank you very much for your reply. I really like this poem in Vietnamese, and I want to share its meaning with others. That is the reason why I post it here.

I see your point, however, I'm afraid that there is something missed in your last line. the man here doesn't know who will be his lover, and he must go to discover who she is. the question in the last line is like the expression of his feelings. He doesnt expect someone will reply his question. his feelings are maybe sulk, waiting for long, reproaching lovely (even he doesnt know Who will be his lover) , and etc.

^_^ looking forward to your reply.

Ok...so he is looking for a lover who does not yet exist and he doesn't even know her name.

Why do you let me find, always find your name?

Could you perhaps try to redo the translation of this line. The word "always" bothers me a bit.
Is it possible to have you post the original poem in Vietnamese??? I would like to see it if I may.

Just one thing that we haven't recognized each other

To me this means:

I am constantly looking for you
But maybe you do not exist at all.
You also could be looking for me, just like I am looking for you.
Only we do not recongize each other yet.
