I have tried to use "creep up on" in my sentence. I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

As Matilda was reading a romance novel, the idea that her husband was unfaithful crept up on her mind. She put the book away and pondered over whether she could find in his behaviour any signs of his unfaithfulness.

Things don't creep up on our minds. Thoughts, ideas and suspicions simply creep up on us.
You could say "crept into her mind".

"was unfaithful" doesn't really work. I'd use either "was being unfaithful" or "had been unfaithful" depending on when she thought the cheating had happened.

I'm sure you'll spot the problem with "weather" straight away!

I'm not keen on the word order at the end.

I will repeat my sentence.

See above.

At least in American English, we generally just ponder something.
