Hello,
There's a sentence,
"Determined never to come back before he could make a big fortune,he left home without saying a word."
and I want to know whether it uses Dangling Modifiers or not.
Could you answer my question and tell me the reason?
Thank you so much!

Welcome to the forum, S-swag.

Hello.

In this sentence:

"Determined never to come back before he could make a big fortune,[space here] he left home without saying a word",

[STRIKE]and[/STRIKE] I want to know whether it uses a dangling modifier or not.

Could you answer my question and tell me the reason?

Thank you so much!
'Determined' is not a dangling modifier because its referent is the actual subject of the sentence: 'he'.
