Which one is correct?

One of the disadvantages of teenage dating is that the relationships can OR may go wrong.

Either one.
"May" is more tentative than "can."

(It's an odd argument. Adult dating can go wrong and marriages can go wrong. What makes it worse for teens? One could actually argue that having relationships go bad as teens is good experience and helps improve the chances for success in later relationships.)
