Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentences?

David thought about how it would look like if he were to have an affair now after more than 20 years of the marriage. How would his wife react if she were to discover it?

We don't use "how it would look like". We use either "how it would look" or "what it would look like".

teechar,

I didn't mean to say "if people found out he was having an affair now."
David simply asked himself a hypothetical question.

Would my sentence be correct like this:

David thought about how it would look if he was having an affair now, after more then twenty years of being married.

I'd write either if he were to have or if he had an affair.
