could you please explain the meaning of the idiom "that's all for the best". Which one of the above ones does it fit?
1. the others will have to wait
2. everything about it is perfect
3. it finishes perect in spite of everything
4. it's an advantage under the circumstances

#3 seems the nearest.

"Whatever you may think, his action was all for the best" = his action was carried out with the best of intentions.
