Hello,

when we tlak about the teprature is it right to say:
1- zero degree.
2- zero degrees.
Why?

The themometer measures degrees, not one degree. So even zero is said to be "zero degrees."

98.7 degrees is a normal temperature.

The oven is set a 350 degrees.

but . . . Her fever came down one degree at a time.

I andurstood that we say "zero degrees" but is there a clear reason for that
or just a habit of the language?
