Hi,

http://www.did-you-knows.com/?page=7

-Did you know frogs can't swallow with their eyes open?
-Did you know a crocodile can't move its tongue?
-Did you know an average person will spend 25 years asleep?

My suggestions:

-Did you know frogs couldn't swallow with their eyes open?
-Did you know a crocodile couldn't move its tongue?
-Did you know an average person would spend 25 years asleep?

I have seen these sentences in 'did you know...questions', and I would like to ask why they use 'can't / will' instead of 'could't / would' because the main sentence begins with a past tense.

Thanks.

They are stating facts, not conjectures. The questions could also begin 'Do you know?'

All the 'Did you know...' questions should end in question marks. Please edit your post accordingly. (You have done that. Thank you.)

Is this better than "Did you know"?
And can I use the following?
Have you known...?

No. 'Did you know' is best.
