Difference in meaning of words

Could some member/s tell me the difference between 'prejudice' and 'discriminate'?

1. They seem to be the same in meaning to me.
2. Is the question mark needed or optional?

Prejudice is to make a decision before knowing all of the facts. Pre = before.

Prejudice - I don't like green people (I don't know any green people but I don't like them anyway)
Discriminate - I only like the best foods so I will only eat fresh oranges. I discriminate on the type of oranges I eat. I will not serve green people even if they have been waiting in line for hours.

I am reading your answer but I'm a bit puzzle:shock: about "green people", what do you mean by green people, maybe an example with black or yellow skin person is better to show the meaning of the word 'Prejudice' whatever your explanation is very clear.
