Here is my two cents

"match up" - you can use this word to describe the appearance of two objects. "They match up." means these two things look alike.

"doing up there" - I can use this in a sentence. "Hey Jack! What is your brother doing up there?" "He is playing video games on second floor." I use this word when I want to know what people are doing above where I am.

"I need buses" - It means you want buses very much.
"I need buses up here" - It means you want buses right in front of you.
