Hi,

I am new to this forum. I would like to ask which of these sentences is correct?

I don't think you deliberately put yourself in to a complicated position, do you? (refer to "I don't")
I don't think you deliberately put yourself in to a complicated position, don't you? (refer to "do deliberate action")

is " are " necessary before deliberately?

Many thanks :)

I don't think you did X, did you? = In my opinion: You didn't do X, did you?

The tag is determined by the tense of the main part of the sentence. You did, didn't you? You didn't, did you?
