Hi,

Should I use does or makes in the follwing passage? And is the rest correct?

He does translations from Chinese to English and vice versa.

The primary meaning of "makes" is to build, construct, or shape. One can make a house bigger, but does translating.

Can you change it to "He translates from Chinese to English" instead of using "translations" as a noun?

Yes, if it's more common.
