Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
The Soyuz TMA-18 docked to the International Space Station.
dock (v) = to couple (two or more spacecraft, for example) in space
When icing occurs, a linesman stops play.
(icing in ice hockey occurs when a player shoots the puck across at least two red lines, the
opposing team's goal line being the last, from the defensive half of the rink over the opponent's goal line.)
When cake has cooled, decorate it with icing, candied fruits, chocolate, berries or jam.
icing = a coating or covering resembling ice, as of sugar and milk or white of egg
Weatherman reports of icing.
icing = a coating of ice on a solid object
icing on ships is a serious hazard where cold temperatures (below about -10°C) combined with high wind speed (typically force 8 or above on the Beaufort scale) result in spray blown off the sea freezing immediately on contact with the ship
