Hi again,

Are there any mistakes in the following two texts?

1) I got up later than usual on Saturday morning. After breakfast I went over to my granny’s house and spent some time playing with my cousins there. On Saturday, we all cousins gather at my granny’s place and have fun.

2) The rest of the afternoon I helped my father washing the car.

Thanks

all the cousins/all of us/we all

Apart from that, it is fine.

2) The rest of the afternoon I helped my father washing the car. OR "wash the car".

Thanks

I. Can the sentence be changed like this:
On Saturday, we all the cousins gathered at my granny's place and had fun.

II. Why is "we all cousins " wrong? and why must put "the" before the plural word "cousins"?

Please.

II. Why is "we all cousins " wrong? and why must put "the" before the plural word "cousins"? It is a tautology - the unnecessary use of two words to express one meaning.

You use "all the cousins" as you are referring to a specific group. In this paragraph, the cousins have already been mentioned.

You could say "we cousins".

Please.
