Hi,

could you please tell me whether the word "domestic" is used correctly:

The employee agrees that the employer may instruct him/her to go on a business trip (domestic or abroad).

Thanks a lot!

at home or abroad.

"Domestic" is used in the sense of internal affairs of a nation or it relates to the home or family.

You use domestic as in:

tax is a domestic issue e.g.

domestic happiness, domestic servant etc.

The employee is aware and agrees that his duties may include business travel, domestic and/or international, and that the employer may so instruct him/her as required.

So you can say "domestic" in the meaning of travelling in your own country, David?

Thanks.

Hi

There is my 2 penny contribution.

A domestic trip is a trip made by a resident of a given country within his/her

residential country.

Occasionally about my travels, domestic and abroad, or the things I eat. ...

Regards.

Hi, Vil!

Thanks for adding your two cents worth of clarification! ;-)
It's good to see that you are still remaining active in the forum!

How are you doing, my friend? Has spring arrived in Bulgaria, yet? :)

Cheers,
Amigo
