Dos and Don'ts at Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all!

I was reading a list of dos and don'ts published by a magazine the other day and did not understand some of them.

1) under the 'Dos': sneakily spike the nog at the office party

I've checked every word I don't understand but what has 'spiking the nog' got to do with Christmas?

2) under the 'Don'ts': acquire the mall decorations when no one is the wiser.

Does it mean 'stealing the decorations when no one knows?'

2) They're advising you not to steal the mall's Christmas decorations.
