I asked someone to give me some feedback from an event that happened 2 months ago and he replies with "Can you let me know what the driver is to try to re-create our thinking at this point? " What does he mean by "driver"?

Difficult to answer without more context, but he is possibly asking what the topic / theme is in order to work out what was happening at that time.

Re: "Driver" - to Anglika

Anglika, thanks for your response. I guess to give you a bit of background....

The person interviewed a candidate last December, but failed to give me his feedback/evaluation which we require for our files. I've requested it from him a couple of times but he never responded. Now, 2 months later, I request it again, and he responds with "can you let me know what the driver is to try to re-create our thinking at this point?" I'm thinking that since it's been a few months, he has forgotten what he initially thought of the candidate, but I'm not sure what he actually wants.

Any thoughts?

Judy
